In February 2016, Schmidtmeier and GSVI reinvented the venerable "bakery" craft business
once again. In Bochum Weitmar, an inviting place to shop, eat, drink and linger was created on 250 sqm. The concept: dissolving fixed boundaries in an atmosphere in which the bakery and the market hall character are atmospherically combined. GSVI has developed an interior design that speaks a clear language of form. The artisan character that distinguishes Schmidtmeier is authentically reflected. Solid oak, finished marble, no-frills cement tiles and a bright lighting mood put the bakery in the foreground as the place to be. Nothing remains hidden here.
Baking craftsmanship as a guarantor of the highest product quality is just as visible to the customer as the fresh goods. The wish is that guests not only taste the authentic attitude to bread, but also enjoy it with all their senses. This seems to have succeeded, the new Schmidtmeier branch is developing into a favourite place in Bochum.
