Change is the only constant. Internally and externally, on a large and small scale, a web of long and short storylines runs through private and professional worlds. Technology moves work to the home, the train, but is an irrelevant task at home more meaningful? Developments everywhere, progress?
The future is unpredictable, and its momentum obeys many external influences. Especially in the market, ecological strategies and tactics are intermingled, to which the customer reacts individually under the influence of the socio cultural situation. Every action in which a person is involved is inevitably unique, uncertain, arbitrary. Imagination remains a significant driver of this evolution despite the infinite number of innovations and insights.
To recognise order in the disorder of these confused currents, it is again the human imagination that is supposed to help. Artificial intelligence archives, compares and learns via inference, which makes it superior in pragmatic or technical topics. Algorithms are already taking over tasks that are supposed to relieve humans of work and give them time. Time for what?
Even if poker robots have already demonstrated seasoned gambling legends, it is empathy that distinguishes humans from programmed intelligences. From simple accounting software to automated design and programming systems, the spearhead of AI continues to evolve, forming the interface between technology and the human sense, the brain, the mind. Looking to the future, technologies are symbiotically fusing with humans, ideally preventing stress, illness and thus long-term damage to characters and their places of work. Thanks to their artificial assistant, people can once again move to the centre of professionalism and focus on the meaning of their work and existence. Hierarchies result in networks, control leads to empowerment and planning is replaced by experimentation and creativity in a meaningful place. Artificial intelligences support this without stealing tasks.

Remote and home office opportunities benefit from technological possibilities and are even put to the test by legal injunction. With home as office, tasks and processes experience more reflection, values are purged of marketing phrases. The real thing remains, despite all the technology.
The world of New Work is being calculated as we speak, and conscientious preparation is more enduring than forecasts into the colourful, swirling tomorrow.
