Ergonomic, modular, holistic.
Malzers Retail
When “Malzers Backstube” was founded in 1901 was simply: a bakery. Today, Malzers represents the modern evolution of the classic bakery. The family-owned company employs 1,500 people and supplies more than 150 branches in the Ruhr region from its central
bakery.
With the rejuvenation of the management by the following generation, the positioning and the appearance of the Malzers brand were also renewed. A branch of about 200 square metres in the north of Essen formed the prototype for the renewal of the branches.
With economic multiplication in mind, GSVI developed a module concept. The modules are oriented towards functions and product groups. They are geared to customer expectations and optimise ergonomics and workflows for employees.
Where quality of stay is required, visibly attractive furniture and materials are used. Where the merchandise is to have an impact, the design is reduced to a simple, black stage frame. The store design thus corresponds to the core of Malzer's positioning, which puts the product at the centre.
